I never got into the whole journaling thing so I think this is where I will put my thoughts...

Elimination

Well after reading everyone else's recollections of Friday, I thought I would set a few things straight...   First things first...  I admit that i was the first person out, and it did only take 2 or 3 minutes...  However I feel i was unfairly set up....

I was trying to actually get work done, being that my boss was the only one that actually did show up....   Anyways i was trying to hook a scanner up to a computer, and i requiered some tech support so I called Pavan...  He said to come over and talk to him... BIG MISTAKE...  Little did i know that Martin had used Pavan as a mole and was waiting right outside for me to wander actross to media.  No the less...  I died and i died quickley.   Anyways, i sucked it up and went on with my "work" day.   I didn't slack off like the rest of the 25 people that were playing...  Man its not fair.  you try to be honoralble and work instead of slack and you lose, like right away...

Aw well live and learn...

The game was fun...  Anyways later in the day when the bonus prize was given out....  I was OFF WORK..  and waiting for the clue.  I got it and ran outside only to find every other person already out theretalking and laughing.  Man I'm either really slow (which i'm not) or some people weren't working!!!!

Anyways these have been my renditions of the goings-ons and I hope you will take them into consideration when you look back on this day.

God Bless!

In the Swing of Things

So i've finally got back into things at home, and its kind of refreshing.  Everything seems for familiar, and almost easier.  I guess when i have such a cool group of friends and co-workers( one and the same) I am kind of spoiled.  I now realized that I missed the random pop ins to the contact center, or the stupid joke in the bookstore, or even the lunchtime chater.

I just want to let everyone know that you guys are all so cool and I am honored to know you all.

THANK YOU

I'm Back

Hey Everyone, I have now returned to the great country of Canada.  I'm a little tired, but I have made up for it with my gained skills in carpentry and masonry.  I have also gained some muscle mass, so that's not so bad either.  Anyways, the trip was amazing and we helped out a lot of people.  It took 5 days of hard work, but we finished our building project with minutes to spare.  Its quiet cool that even though we were all tired and sore, and wet and stinky, we all stuck it out and were able to give a nice old lady a nice new deck and 2 sets of stairs.

On the lighter, I have written a new song called "deodorant Time", and I played it one night for the whole camp.  Everyone loved it and I am now famous.  If you ask nicely, I might play it for sometime.

It will be tough to adjust back to waking up at 8 am instead of 6 am and going to bed at 12 am instead of 2 am, but I'll suck it up and get back in the flow.

See you all around at work, and other such fun places.

USA MISSION TRIP!

Hey everyone, I'm here sitting in this youth hall in some small town in Pennsylvania.  I think its called Kennett Square.  Its like any other town in the USA, cause it has a WALMART and McDonald's.  Anyway Linda and myself would like to tell "ya'll" how its been.

The first week of outreach slash vacation was great.  We slept in to about 10'oclock and went to bed around 3 am after playing Halo for about 6 hours!!!!!  Anyways we did a cool VBS or vacation Bible School for those of you not familiar with this term.   We played games and hung around some cool kids and just helped out doing some cool stuff.  Anyways during the day, we either went to the BEACH, or we became professional masons.  Not the evil kind but the kind that work with rocks.  We put up about 10000000000 rocks..  Or maybe 100 I don;t know.....  Anyways We were in Jason McSchulers home town and all his friends are really cool. ^The whole town was very hospitamable.

for the update for the current week....  Linda will let you know...

Ok, so Jon has given me the sacred honor of writing in his blog...WOW, I must do it justice.  So here is what happened this week.  We have been flexing our muscles, developing new ones, draining any fluid intake through our pores and playing around with power tools at our "Good Neighbor's Work Camp" Project Site.  So, what in the world am I talking about, you ask...well, we are rebuiding parts of Snow Walshe's broken down home, making it safe for her to live in.  We dug 9 feet long and 3 feet wide of soil, hacking through 3 inch (rebellious) roots and have already built a foundation and 10 steps for the stair way to her back garden...Jon has been the superstar at creating the "Retaining Wall" (whatever the heck that means)...Basically, he has been the right hand man to Tom (the expert) and has created a wall from the ground up, 8ft tall, and 30 ft wide which will support the brand new porch that he will be constructing for Snow tomorrow.  As you can imagin, she lives up on a hill... :o)  So our projects will be done at the end of the week, more updates to come.  Some other exciting news, we announced to all the 50 some odd young ladies participating in GNWC that Jon is Single and available!!  YES, we have had to push all the screaming chicks away.  tomorrow, he will be singing a solo (well, he was crazy enough to ask me to join him...pray, hard, for me...:o) with his guitar tomorrow...crap, if all the female attention he's getting now just wasnt enought!!!  Well, Gillian and I will have to be working overtime after tomorrow night!!  Hahaha Nah, it is going to be a blast!  Well, our arms are tired from all the work, and our backs are aching...we must go to bed...Love you all!!....

THat was Linda, a girl... Can you guess by the length!!!  Anyways we are all having a great time!!!!!

See you soon, and remember to tell your 23-27 year old guy friends about Linda!!!!  She is also single, but 14 year old guys at this camp are a little young.....

Thats it I'll give you all the lowdown I get back.....  P.S.  Don't tell my parents I can build things because they'll make me work at home!

Recipe of Da Day

Hey everyone, especially you non-cookers out there. This little diddy will make your shoes fall off and your short midget uncle a new toupe!!!!

I like to call it greens in a blanket. First off all you need three ingredients or four, or maybe its just three. Anyway get some asparagus. Take the bottom inch or so off the veggie and put in boiling water for 2-3 minutes. When done, wrap the veggie in bacon, then put in the oven at 450, until the bacon is crisp. Sprinkle with salt, and serve.

Easy as pie...

Camping trip of DOOM!

Well i just got back to Toronto today after spending 4 days up camping with my family, and cousins. To keep it short and simple. It wasn't any fun at all. It rained everyday but one, and when it wasn't rainning I was being eaten alive by thousands of bugs.

The one funny story that i got out of it was my trusted air matrice. Or should i say untrusted air matrice. Every night I would blow it up and every morning it would be out of air. THere seemed to be a samll hole in it that noone could locate. Anyways it wouldn't have been that bad, if we weren't tenting and if our tent wastn't on top of about 20 different tree roots. Every moring i would find myself sleeping on a big stick, and then having to make the 5 minute walk to nearest restroom. It wasn't fun.

Well i don't want to seem like i'm complaining, but man.... I love my bed..... Nice soft bed...ahhhhh....

Cooking Idea of the Week/Month/Whenever I feel like it

Welcome all to the first annual cooking moment by Jon Long. It is quite strange that people think cooking is hard. In actual fact it is quite easy. A few simple ingredients and a lot of TLC and you should have no problem getting a killer meal on the table.

Anyways, lets start with the basics.....

Mac and Cheeze.... No not the stuff in the box....Home made stuff!!!!

Its simple.... Noodles.....Boil until cooked....You should be able to chew it and not get chunks stuck in your mouth....

Cheeze....

Sauce pot, medium heat...... Put a little milk, like a quarter cup.....And put grated cheeze into it, until the cheeze melts and you get your desired creamy, or goowyness.

Mix them together and serve.

please don't put ketchup on this.... It may fly with KD, but not with this...
